Culture Days in Perth County

Heritage Canada support helped 1000's of people share in free Culture Days Events

More than 50 activities across Perth County: in Mitchell, Listowel, St Marys, and across Stratford saw thousands sharing in cultural activities.
Professional artists of all stripes invited our community to try out new things, or renew an old love for the arts.

By exploring our  "Culture" in fun and interactive ways, Culture Days provides opportunites to  reconnect with our identities, though our arts and heritage.  Art touchs our lives in so many different ways. Its a joy to honour all the talent and craft that surrounds us and enriches our lives on a daily basis. 

PERTH ARTS CONNECT won $25,400 support for Culture Days: A Celebration of Culture in Stratford and Perth County from The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage Program, Department of Canadian Heritage.

Green Screen flying brought to Factory163 by Fanshawe College School of Contemporay Media/ Stratford Shakespeare Festival/ Perth County Information Network/ Stratford Public Library and Perth Arts Connect.

Youth wrote poems and created art for a contest "Fly Like Arthur the Hawk". Inspiration for art was found in Camelot and things medieval. Winners were drawn at random. They "flew" over Stratford and recieved a flight DVD to take home.

A Fayre Day in Camelot

Brittany Frank and her horse joined the crowds that braved the weather for this medival fair hosted by the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, inspired by their production of Camelot.
