SpringWorks 2013: Stratford & Perth County's indie theatre & arts festival

May 9, 2013 until May 19, 2013
Fringe style 1 hour performances throughout the festival

Highlights of SpringWorks 2013 include:

Stage: Fairy Tale Ending - family musical, winner of Patron's Pick at KidsFringe Toronto and on The Toronto Star's top 10 Fringe picks; Oneymoon - dinner and comedy cabaret at the Church Restaurant starring Christel Bartelse, "a human fireball" (Vancouver's See Magazine); Governor General's Award nominee Donna-Michelle St. Bernard returns for a third season with her newest work Salome's Clothes; Marion Adler, of off-Broadway and London's West End fame, returns with her one-woman show Forgiving Peter Pan; Many more works by artists including Keith Barker, Brenley Charkow, Heather Davies, Heather Debling, Robert Downes, Brandon Wicke, Dawna Wightman, The Other Hand Puppet Troupe, Windsor Feminist Theatre 
Dance: Award winning artist Lucy Rupert in her solo show The Animals (and other tales about fate); double bill of Just Watch Me and the manic mayhem of The Pixie Project featuring Nicola Pantin and Lisa Ryder
Spoken Word: Literary luminary Doug Gibson shares his Stories About Storytellers; Enjoy a latte and a free tasting of words at SpringWork's Coffeehouse Poetry Series hosted by Revel Caffé
Cabarets: Chilina Kennedy, fresh from her Broadway success; Ari Weinberg and Friends; Mary Pitt's Ein, Zwei, Drei, Boum!; Pam Gerrand's Songs I Sang at Seventeen: Torch, Twang, and Tearjerkers (Songs of Bette Midler, Janis Ian, and more)
More Music: Barb Prosser, Janet Martin, and Deb Joy's Three Little Maids and Festival Gems II: songs and text from the Stratford Festival with Brad Rudy, Marion Day, Christina Gordon, and Eileen Smith

artisans, Perth County businesses, organizations
and those who support and appreciate the arts,
dedicated to raise awareness and show the diversity
of the arts, culture and heritage in the County.

What we do:

  • increase public awareness of artists, their works and their activities
  • encourage the display, presentation and performance of their works
  • ensure that the creative process is considered an important part of the social and economic life of Perth County
  • promote artistic growth and provide opportunities for both individuals and organizations of the arts in Perth County
